The history of The Royal Eucalyptus Oil Distillery can be traced back to 1928 after the tree was brought to India by the British settlers. The entire process of oil extraction right from the picking of the leaves to the production, packing and despatch is carried out as a cottage industry. A very interesting fact is that all the tasks are done by human hands without involving machinery of any sort.

The company has successfully revitalised the eucalyptus operations and launched a number of products which have been well received by trade outlets and consumers. Over the last few years the company has increased sales of its products substantially throughout India. Recently, the company has entered the export market and has ambitious plans to become a global enterprise.

The company is located in the Nilgiris district of Tamilnadu State in the Southern part of the Indian sub-continent. The company is geared up to meet the stringent standards required to comply with the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice for Therapeutic Goods.
